Meet the Daedalus Team

The Daedalus Team is at the heart of Omnia’s technology—managing a highly scalable, flexible crawler architecture that processes millions of data points daily. We are a team of ageile minds constantly challenging the status quo, innovating, and refining our software and infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to work with Python, Scala, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Terraform on AWS Cloud, and more, contributing to one of the most advanced pricing platforms in the industry.

Your Impact

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the foundation of our platforms and ensuring the seamless processing of hundreds of millions of price recommendations daily. You’ll help architect, optimize, and scale our systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and future-proof.

What You’ll Do

• Elevate our crawler architecture, optimizing performance, scalability, and resource utilization.

• Develop and maintain high-efficiency APIs, integrating external APIs with precision and reliability.

• Design and implement resilient data integrations, ensuring performance at scale.

• Optimize databases, crawlers, APIs, and data pipelines, pushing system performance to the next level.

• Ensure system stability, overseeing deployment pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure health.

• Work with cutting-edge tools, including Kubernetes clusters, RabbitMQ clusters, Terraform on AWS Cloud, and more.

• Mentor junior developers and interns, fostering growth and technical excellence within the team.

• Reduce downtime and enhance system reliability by swiftly handling technical incidents.

• Write structured, maintainable code, ensuring clarity for current and future teams.

What You Bring

You’re a skilled developer with a passion for building scalable systems and collaborating with high-performing teams. Your expertise includes:

• 7+ years of backend development with Scala, Java, or Python.

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Strong CI/CD experience, design patterns, relational databases, and infrastructure management.

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).

• Ability to analyze and optimize system performance across architecture layers.

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL (experience with NoSQL databases is a plus).

• A commitment to writing organized, maintainable code with clear documentation.

• A proactive approach, teamwork skills, and the ability to handle challenges with a positive mindset.
