About the role

As our HR Business Partner, you will be the go-to person for both leadership and team members when it comes to all things people. You’ll work closely with line managers to help them grow as leaders, create an environment where Omnians can thrive, and ensure our HR processes are practical, forward-looking, and truly add value. 

This role is perfect for someone who is pragmatic and people-first, and believes that the best solutions are often the most straightforward. You’ll lead our HR efforts hands-on, supported by our Employee Experience Manager and Corporate Recruiter. This role blends strategic partnership with practical execution, allowing you to shape the big picture while staying close to day-to-day people operations.


What will you be doing?

  • Act as the first point of contact for managers and their teams on topics like team satisfaction, development, long-term sickness, and conflict management.

  • Coach and develop line managers to strengthen their leadership skills.

  • Keep track of HR metrics, run employee surveys and qualitative interviews to turn insights into actionable advice for leadership.

  • Review and improve HR policies and processes.

  • Support in complex situations such as underperformance, long-term absence, and personal improvement trajectories.

  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen our employer brand.

  • Onboard new Omnians, ensuring they understand our policies, processes, and values.

  • Manage and coach the Employee Experience Manager and Corporate Recruiter.

  • Own the employee experience in our Amsterdam office, ensuring the space reflects our values and supports our team.

  • Take ownership of key operational HR tasks, including contracts, onboarding and offboarding, leave tracking, and HR systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day people operations. 



About you

  • A true people person: empathetic, approachable, and genuinely interested in others. You connect easily, read situations well, and bring organizational sensitivity where it’s most needed.

  • You have hands-on experience in a start-up or scale-up environment and enjoy working in a fast-moving, evolving organization.

  • You are knowledgeable about Dutch labor laws and feel confident applying them in day-to-day HR practice.

  • Pragmatic and forward-thinking: you simplify processes rather than complicate them, and always keep an eye on what will add the most value.

  • Experienced in hands-on operational HR tasks and comfortable rolling up your sleeves, you understand the value of being close to the people and processes you support.

  • Previous experience as an HR Business Partner (or similar senior HR role), including having been a line manager yourself.

  • You strongly identify with our values.
